ABOUT THE DOCTOR SPOT – FREE HEALTH CLINIC
The Doctor Spot is a free medical clinic for children in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Currently, the free health clinic is located inside the Inspired Vision Compassion Center located at: 2019 N Masters Dr, Dallas, TX 75217. Monday- Friday 7:30 AM til capacity. (subject to change).

Sports Qualifying Physical Examinations
Physical exams for clearance forms for athletics.
Well-visits
Well-visits include hearing and vision screenings, lead screenings, preliminary testing for iron deficiency anemia.
Asthma Management
- Identify and minimize asthma triggers.
- Understanding and taking medications as prescribed.
- Monitoring asthma to recognize signs when it is getting worse.
- Educate children and parent on what to do if asthma symptons gets worse.
Sick Checks
A basic sick check occurs when a child is not feeling well (i.e. sore throat, nausea, fever, earache, headache). Strep infections, flu, virus symptoms, etc. will be diagnosed and treated.
Obesity Screenings
These will be given especially to children between the ages of 6 to 18 years. Parents will be trained by volunteers on what foods to purchase for their overweight or obese children.

We serve children in Dallas County, the county with the 2nd highest number of uninsured children in the US.
You can bring your children for a free medical consultation (consulta medica gratis), free immunizations (vacunas gratis para ninos), or free shots for school (vacunas escolares gratis). That’s the idea behind The Doctor Spot, a medical clinic providing basic medical services for kids in some of Dallas/Fort Worth’s most medically underserved neighborhoods.
The Need Is Real and Urgent
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Ryan Smith received his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas and his medical degree from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his training in pediatrics at UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center Dallas and served as an Assistant Professor and Hospitalist there for 2 years prior to his residency in anesthesiology at UT Southwestern and Parkland. He remained in Dallas for his pediatric anesthesia fellowship training at UTSW and Children’s Medical Center. He is one of very few physicians in DFW holding 3 board certifications: General Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, and Pediatric Anesthesiology
BOARD MEDICAL LIAISON
Kamilia Smith, M.D., a Dallas native, co-founded Magnolia OB/GYN at Baylor University Medical Center in 2007. After graduating from Texas A& M, Dr. Smith served the women of Texas by working in Washington, D.C. on healthcare policies and then moved on to do so at the state level in Austin. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Smith considers motherhood as one of her highest callings and incorporates the joy she has experienced as a mother directly into the care she provides for each of her patients. She resides in the Lakewood area with her husband Ryan, a pediatric anesthesiologist. They are fortunate to have three healthy children that enrich their lives. It is her desire and privilege to give back to the community and serve women and their families.
